The History Channel "Texas Rising"
Created in partnership with The History Channel, Mill+ collaborated to make a rich hand painted world for the opening credits of their mini-series "Texas Rising." Inspired by the rich colors of the South West we tell the story of the Texas Revolution set against a backdrop of a blood, violence, and good ole' American patriotism.

Inspiration for our sequence came from artists like Joseph zbukvic & Nathan ford who’s work had a stunning unfinished quality - carrying the idea that like Texas our story was still ‘in the making.’

From early on horses become a huge part of the story acting as timeless characters - silent witnesses to man's death, destruction and victory.

The final titles became a poetic ode to Texas and it's birth - symbolized by the construction of the flag at the end of the sequence.
